Marion, Ill. - That's a wrap on the 2026 Take Me Out to the Car Show!
The fifth annual event rolled into Marion's Mtn Dew Park June 13th, showcasing 120 registered vehicles, dozens of vendors, and raising $7,000 for two local organizations. This year's proceeds were split between The Promise Mission in Marion and Wani's Warriors in West Frankfort.
"We can't say enough about the staff at Mtn Dew Park, all our sponsors, our vendors, our food trucks, and all the people behind the scenes who make this day happen. It takes a team of volunteers to pull this together. I'm thankful for each and every one of them and thrilled to be able to help out two organizations who do so much for others," said Shawn Hughes, president of Interstate Tire Pros Auto Service.
The Promise Mission provides meals, clothing, food boxes, and more to those in need. Wani’s Warriors helps families with necessities like food, formula, and diapers, as well as back-to-school clothes and children’s gifts at Christmas.
Since its inception, Take Me Out to the Car Show has raised a total of $20,000 for local and national charitable organizations.
